Students will be able to identify the rules, how they've evolved over time, and develop gauge to evaluate and discuss taste evaluations through the lens of BHS PER judges and the greater community.

Dieser Kurs bietet Euch genau das: Einfache, sofort anwendbare Techniken, um Eure Performance sofort zu verbessern. Die Werkzeuge sind für jeden geeignet und umsetzbar, auch wenn Ihr sonst keine geborenen Performer seid. Dazu machen wir uns den Ausdruck von grundlegenden körpersprachlichen Dingen zu Nutze die wir ohnehin auch auf der Bühne tun, wie z.B. Atmen. Und wir lernen, warum und wie unsere Körpersprache unseren Ausdruck beeinflussen kann.

Teilnehmer verstehen, wie die im Kurs vorgestellten verschiedene Techniken funktionieren, können sie anwenden und in ihren Ensembles auch weiter geben.

In this class, we will examine how to create breath plans for all kinds of songs, finding spots to breathe when it isn’t so obvious. While much of the class will focus on breath plans in quartet singing, we will briefly address chorus breath plans and the concept of stagger-breathing.

Participants will be able to effectively create breath plans for their quartet or chorus, understand the importance of having a plan, and know how to problem-solve when needed.

Wir merken alle, wenn eine Performance lustig ist -- aber wie man dahin kommt, dass das Publikum in ihren Sitzen hängt uns sich schlapp lacht, ist eine viel schwierigere FragEDU.

In diesem Kurs lernen wir Grundlagen davon, wie man von einer lustigen Idee zu einer lustigen Comedy Performance kommt. Wir schauen uns an, welche Elemente in Comedy wichtig sind, worauf wir achten müssen, wie man Witze schreibt, und wie man daran geht, eine Comedy zu planen und umzusetzen.

Dieser Kurs richtet sich an Quartettsänger*inne, Dirigent*innen, und Performance/Musik Team Mitglieder, also an alle Personen, die eine Comedy Performance planen und umsetzen wollen.

Teilnehmer verstehen, welche Elemente eine Comedy Performance enthalten muss und können einschätzen, wie wirkungsvoll ihre Comedy für ein Publikum sein wird. Teilnehmer haben Werkzeuge, mit denen sie aus einer Idee für eine Comedy Performance einen Comedy Plan machen können, bzw. ihre bestehenden Comedy Performances verbessern können.

This session explores how to sharpen your barbershop craft with specific exercises. This will not focus on overall vocal production, but on the small, trainable elements you can control, including aligning rhythmic durations, hard word sounds, and vowels, and improving listening skills.
