Klingt irgendwas nicht so, wie ihr wollt? Dann: Fix it! In diesem Kurs gehen wir Probleme gezielt an – Schritt für Schritt statt alle auf einmal. Gerade bei neuen Songs wollen wir oft zu viel gleichzeitig: Töne, Rhythmus, Text... Das überfordert schnell.
Wir isolieren typische Baustellen wie Vokale, Synchronizität oder Stimmsitz und entwickeln daraus einfache Übungen für zuhause und eure Proben. So werden Fortschritte hörbar – und Erfolge fühlbar, ohne den Spaß zu verlieren. Semhar bringt dazu Beispiele aus dem Probenalltag von Ladies First mit.
Welche Probleme wollt ihr fixen? Bringt eure aktuellen Herausforderungen mit und lasst uns gemeinsam kreativ sein!

Students will be able to identify the rules, how they've evolved over time, and develop gauge to evaluate and discuss taste evaluations through the lens of BHS PER judges and the greater community.

Habt Ihr Euch auch schon mal gewünscht, es gäbe Life Hacks für Performance, also einfache Werkzeuge, mit denen Eure Performance sofort lebendiger und echter würde?

Dieser Kurs bietet Euch genau das: Einfache, sofort anwendbare Techniken, um Eure Performance sofort zu verbessern. Die Werkzeuge sind für jeden geeignet und umsetzbar, auch wenn Ihr sonst keine geborenen Performer seid. Dazu machen wir uns den Ausdruck von grundlegenden körpersprachlichen Dingen zu Nutze die wir ohnehin auch auf der Bühne tun, wie z.B. Atmen. Und wir lernen, warum und wie unsere Körpersprache unseren Ausdruck beeinflussen kann.

Teilnehmer verstehen, wie die im Kurs vorgestellten verschiedene Techniken funktionieren, können sie anwenden und in ihren Ensembles auch weiter geben.

Wir alle benutzen unseren Körper und Körpersprache jeden Tag, um effektiv und ausdrucksstark zu kommunizieren. Das geht vollkommen automatisch und problemlos -- bis wir auf der Bühne stehen. Und dann fragen wir uns oft: was mache ich eigentlich mit meinen Händen? Stehe ich immer so da? Darf ich mich bewegen?

Dieser Kurs gibt Euch einen Werkzeugkasten an körpersprachlichen Techniken an die Hand, um Eure Performance lebendiger, glaubwürdiger und ausdrucksreicher zu machen. Wir schauen uns an, wie wir unsere Körper einsetzen, wenn wir nicht darüber nachdenken und machen diese Techniken auf der Bühne nutzbar. Wir erforschen, wie Blickrichtung, Gesten und Körperhaltung Bedeutung transportieren – und wie Ihr diese natürlichen Ausdrucksmittel bewusst einsetzen könnt, ohne dass es sich aufgesetzt anfühlt.

Tag singing sits at the heart of barbershop culture and is often a singer’s first introduction to the joy of close harmony. In this session, we’ll explore beginner, intermediate, and advanced tags in SSAA, TTBB, and SATB voicing, organized so singers at any level can jump in. Discover what makes some tags easier or more challenging, and learn strategies for choosing and leading tags that welcome every singer, regardless of their barbershop experiencEDU.
This class will feature new material developed for an upcoming barbershop publication on tag singing.
