About me
Aaron joined the Barbershop Harmony Society in 1991 with the Louisville Thoroughbred Chorus. He has been active as a performer, coach, and judge, and has been an arranger and musical advisor for numerous championship ensembles worldwide. Aaron is a percussionist with a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Kentucky and has taught elementary music in Hardin County public schools since 2002. He has percussion compositions published with Row-Loff Productions.
Aaron co-founded the Kentucky Vocal Union in 2006 and was their director and primary vocal arranger throughout their existence. In October 2020 the Barbershop Harmony Society recognized Aaron (along with many of his heroes) with an award for LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT FOR ARRANGERS. "Awarded to an arranger, living or in memorium, in recognition of the profound effect of their contributions on the musical culture of barbershop harmony as an art form through their collective body of work. The 2020 Inaugural Class includes: Renee Craig, Aaron Dale, Tom Gentry, Jay Giallombardo, Don Gray, S.K. Grundy, David Harrington, Val Hicks, Clay Hine, Walter Latzko, Earl Moon, Lou Perry, Sigmund Spaeth, Dave Stevens, Burt Szabo, Greg Volk, Ed Waesche, David Wright, Larry Wright"
