About me
Christian Hofmann is a composer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist and choir singer. His musical language moves between jazz and classical music - always searching for an expressive, personal sound. He discovered composing in 2018 in the course of his exploration of classical music. Since then, he has developed a self-taught style that characterized by tonal curiosity, formal openness and cross-genre influences.
As a singer, he has been a member of the BinG!
Youth Chorus, the first youth barbershop choir in Germany. With this ensemble, he became German Champion at the 2024 Barbershop Music Festival in Dortmund. In 2023, in the same musical environment, he founded the quartet “Dreamscape”, with which he performs throughout Germany.
In addition to his work as a vocal artist
Christian Hofmann devotes himself intensively
arranging - both classical choral literature and barbershop arrangements and tags. His work combines stylistic versatility with a keen sense of voice leading and sound balance.
Since 2025 he has been a member of the Thuringian State Youth Choir and the renowned Bach Choir Weimar. He was previously part of the Cologne Cathedral Choir and completed the 2019 “Basic course in church music” in the Archdiocese of Cologne with a focus on organ.
