About me
Yquem is one of the few barbershoppers from France. He spends most of his free time singing, transcribing and arranging barbershop music.
He likes riding his bike, and always takes this opportunity to rehearse very loud tags!
He developed his own technique of live multitrack barbershop, singing all four parts of a barbershop piece in a row. The goal behind this is to make the audience progressively hear the harmony getting built.
Yquem discovered the barbershop style on YouTube, through videos of barbershop quartets and multitrack singers. He loves sharing back what he makes on YouTube, and hopes he can, in its turn, help spread the love of barbershop!
Yquem also plays percussions, and is a fan of music from all the continents, from Brazil to Japan. He likes to think that the barbershop style can be adapted to songs from everywhere and in any language, to enrich barbershop music, and to broaden the barbershop community.
