About me
Allen has been involved with performance and production since 2003, serving in roles such as actor, director, coach, clinician, and trainer. Currently, he is an adjudicator in the Performance category for the Barbershop Harmony Society, the Dean of the Performance College for Harmony University, and a regular coach for various groups. He has been a certified theater adjudicator since 2013 and a certified BHS PER judge since 2019. His performance packages have graced division, district, and international stages, and he continues to provide innovative solutions to choruses and quartets across the society through his coaching and teaching. Additionally, Allen is an active director and clinician for theater in the Houston area, passionately working to expand participation in theater and performance for high schools and middle schools across the city and state.
Allen holds a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston School of Law. At present, he is a Felony Chief Attorney for the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, where he employs his performance skills daily as an advocate for victims of violent criminal offenses. Moreover, he guides new attorneys in honing their performance, trial, and advocacy skills.
